First joint call for EELISA Communities – 300,000 € to boost mobility, networking and visibility

EELISA is delighted to share the first joint call targeting EELISA Communities and transnational activities offered by EELISA Communities – a call open to university educators, researchers, students, and staff from all EELISA institutions and disciplines, with a preferred relation to innovation, technical solutions, and an engineering mindset.

Research-Based Learning Symposium Took Place in Istanbul

The first EELISA Research-Based Learning Symposium was held on May 17-18 within the scope of EELISA in Istanbul collocated with the InnoCORE R&I Symposium on May 16. The symposium held at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center in ITU Ayazağa Campus was followed by the guests on the ITU YouTube channel. After the concerts performed by ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory (ITU TMDK) and ITU Dr. Erol Üçer Center for Advanced Studies in Music (İTÜ MİAM), speeches were made at the symposium.

New EELISA Disciplinary Broadening Workshops

According to its Governing Board declaration, approved on April 19, 2021, the vision of EELISA European University is to ¨develop European degrees heralding the next generation of European engineers who will be professionals and committed citizens ready to work within interdisciplinary, multilingual, diverse, and pan-European environments” – engineers that will contribute to the transformation of Europe into a fair, sustainable and prosperous society with a modern resource-efficient economy.

Innovation Talks by EELISA innoCORE

To bring the knowledge generated in EELISA to the broader public while making EELISA a vibrant forum for innovation and Europe, and the world, a better place. These are the main goals of this monthly lecture series that will give the stage to our best EELISA researchers and innovators to discuss the possibilities, risks, and opportunities of technology for sustainable development.

ITU Environmental Week - Good Practices for Sustainability: Student Experiences

Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and held annually on 5 June since 1974, World Environment Day. During the following week, ITU will be organising a series of events to promote sustainable practices in research and education as well as to increase awareness regarding environmental issues. On this occasion, an international student discussion session will be held via Zoom on June 10, 2022 between 11:00-14:00 (CEST).

Recent Interviews on Mobility Experiences

On the 22nd of April, student representatives from all EELISA members gathered in Pisa to meet one another and to formally constitute the EELISA Student Council, the voice of their peers in the Alliance. In this brief interview, student representative from ENPC Julie Kleinhans shares her experience in this first face-to-face meeting that has promt great progress for this important body of the EELISA Governance.
