DigitalTwins on Railway Engineering
DIGITWIN4CIUE invites you to the next DIGI TWIN SESSIONS Event, which will take place on
January 30th
at ETSI de Caminos, Canales y Puertos of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and on
ZOOM
.
10.30 – 13.30 (CET)
12.30 – 15.30 (Istanbul Time)
Event Program
Digital Twins is an emerging technology that combines design, data and intelligence that enables the creation of virtual representations of physical products, places and processes. The Digital Twin concept has advanced from its original role in enterprise manufacturing to an expansive positioning that is relevant to a range of fields.
In the Railway sector, as in every other, digital twins are a powerful tool for analysing an object's performance, hence essential for improving engineering and maintenance
processes, for the creation of predictive maintenance plans, for diagnosing faults, or even for guaranteeing its proper use. This technology allows pre-emptive maintenance, more efficient track utilisation and increases safety.
The session will begin with a presentation of the current state-of-the-art in digital Twins at ETSI de Caminos, Canales y Puertos. The speakers will then move to the discussion around Round Tables where they will actively engage attendees in open discussions.
