Students in the EELISA Governance

The Student Council is a group composed of roughly 20 students from all the EELISA partners representing over 190.000 students of the Alliance. Their members take part in the EELISA boards (Governing, Executive, Academic & Scientific Boards) as well as the EELISA work packages to bring the student’s views, perspectives, and energy.

The Student Council members play a key role in shaping the EELISA framework. They take on important responsibilities, including:

  • Representing EELISA students in governance bodies and decision-making processes.
  • Providing valuable feedback to work packages and working groups.
  • Serving as ambassadors for EELISA at their respective universities

The Council operates under an official charter, outlining each member’s commitments. These include hosting monthly student meetings and creating periodic position papers for the EELISA Governing Board to keep students informed. Additionally, the Council elects two Co-Chairs to lead monthly meetings and coordinate Council activities. The EELISA Student Council meets in person twice a year, aligning with EELISA Governing Board sessions, to further support their mission.
