Description

Learning Innovation Project Call is annual calls led by UPM that aims at supporting learning innovation activities from UPM faculties. Each call focuses on different priorities. In 2024, the call was focused in setting-up research-based learning, challenge-based learning, and AI tools in education. The scope of the call is to foster innovative learning in Bachelor and Master degrees. As a reference figure, the number of projects funded in 2024 has been 04, involving the participation of 593 persons (faculties, staff, students).

Promote multidisciplinary projects to address initiatives to improve the quality of teaching around specifics subjects/courses.

Main Activities of the Practice

Implementation of projects, dissemination of good practices at conferences and publications.

Short Description of the Practice
Service-Learning (ApS) is an educational practice that combines content learning, competencies, and values with community service activities. Students engage in real-world needs in their environment, gaining valuable knowledge and experience.  This course, offered by the UPM Service-Learning Office (http://aprendizajeservicio.upm.es/), introduces the fundamentals of this methodology and provides procedures and tools for evaluating both student performance and the quality of projects. The course is practical, allowing participants to design a feasible implementation proposal.

Development of joint projects with teachers, students (curricular activity) and social entities.

University professors and educators interested in innovative teaching methodologies.
