“Research-based Learning” Workshop from ITU

ITU EELISA team, EELISA European University’s only representative in Turkey, continues to work for a better engineering education. The workshop was organized under the coordination of ITU with an aim to incorporate research-based learning and problem solving into the engineering education.

In the full-day event, education by research teaching and learning models towards the needs of future engineers were discussed.

In the workshop organized, the inclusion of research methods and results in the curriculum starting from the undergraduate level and the matching of the course contents with real practices in order to make it easier for students to respond were evaluated through exemplary research-based and project-based education activities carried out by partners. Information was exchanged about extracurricular activities and the project teams that students formed on their own initiative. In addition, work was carried out on the organization of the ‘Research-based Learning ‘, the first of which is planned to be held next April.
