We are excited to share that ITU will be actively participating in TEKNOFEST 2025, the world’s largest Aerospace, Aviation and Technology Festival, taking place from September 17 to 21, 2025 at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul (https://www.teknofest.org/en)
As ITU, we would like to extend a special invitation to up to 10 EELISA students to join this event as visiting team members embedded within ITU’s TEKNOFEST finalist teams. These students will have the opportunity to experience a challenge-based learning environment with ITU’s most innovative student teams (https://www.ituprojetakimlari.com/takimlar).
ITU project teams will be participating in the TECHNOFEST 2025 under 4 main themes:
- Surface and Underwater Technologies
This area covers innovative projects focused on marine and underwater systems, including remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous surface vessels, underwater imaging, and marine data analytics. Students will engage with technologies that address challenges in ocean exploration, environmental monitoring, and maritime innovation.
- Aerospace and Rocket Technologies
Teams in this area work on the design, development, and testing of aerospace systems including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), model rockets, and flight control systems. Participants contribute to cutting-edge advancements in propulsion, aerodynamics, avionics, and space mission simulations.
- Emerging Tech & Software Innovation
This track focuses on original software solutions using emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity. Students contribute to real-world applications that address complex problems in finance, health, education, and public services through coding, algorithm design, and system architecture.
- Automotive and Mobility Systems
This area includes the development of intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions such as electric and solar-powered vehicles, autonomous driving systems, and vehicle telemetry platforms. Participants are involved in the complete innovation cycle from design to race-ready performance.
What ITU offers:
- On-campus accommodation
- Meal support (ITU dining facilities)
- Transportation to/from the event site
- Guided team experience with finalist teams
Next Steps:
- Application by EELISA students: Application Form
- Deadline for application: 1-Sept-25
* Late applications may not be considered due to team matching logistics
** In the case of high demand, a selection process will be coordinated by the ‘Coordinator of ITU Project Teams’ based on diversity and motivation.
*** Students will be matched with the ITU project teams in the first week of September 2025.
We would be pleased to proceed with this initiative and support in promoting the opportunity among EELISA partners.
