Engagement with Society through EELISA Communities

ITU hosted a productive meeting concerning EELISA Communities. At the Work Package 8 Representatives Meeting held on March 7-8, 2024, participants created a road map for issues such as future joint calls, data management, quality model and processes to be developed.

EELISA Work Package 8 Representatives Meeting was held at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) to assess the current situation regarding data management, quality processes, centralized joint calls and resources for EELISA communities.

The meeting titled “Engagement with Society through EELISA Communities,” held at Ayazağa Campus Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on March 7 and 8, was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hamza Salih Erden, Dr. Burcu Bulut, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Börte Köse Mutlu, Res. Asst. Dr. Ecem Tezel, Prof. Dr. Bersam Sidal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Acar, Dr. Merve Çalımlı Akgün and Prof. Dr. Semra Ahmetolan from our university. Representatives from our EELISA partners, including Polytechnic University of Madrid, also participated in the meeting.

The meeting, which had agenda topics such as creating a framework for the joint calls that EELISA will start to announce again in the upcoming months, improving the data management and quality processes of community activities and determining the steps to be taken about this, and creating a road map regarding work package activities, witnessed fruitful exchanges of ideas.

Many of the partners of EELISA’s Work Package 8 had the opportunity to meet for the first time at this meeting. Participants exchanged ideas about the current situation and future activities in line with the meeting objectives and agreed on a road map for the framework of the joint call planned to be announced in April-May 2024, data management and quality model, and processes to be developed.
